S+K=E?

I had a bunch of crazy dreams last night, but I think I’m only going to write about the one that gave me the creeps. It was the kind of dream that makes you get up and make sure you locked the front door.

I was with my dad. He had just received a letter from my grand father. Grandpa died almost exactly 14 years ago, but apparently he still writes letters in dreamland. My dad is really upset and worried about this letter from his father, worried that he’s going to hurt himself, despite the fact that he’s no longer alive. He shows me the note, which reads:

I IN ARM, S+K=E
and
I Love You

Yeah, I got no clue what that means either. In the dream I didn’t read it like it was math, just some sort of shorthand. ‘S and K same as E.’ I love actually seeing signs or notes in dreams, cause they rarely make any sense.

So later we’re waiting for SB to meet up with us. She’s running late so I give her a call, and I get this weird automated message:

“This user cannot be reached because the Broadway show of “Cats” just let out, and all lines are busy.”

Now my dad’s worried about this note, and I’m worried about SB being late and neither one of us knows what any of this means.

I have never seen Cats, although I’ve heard some of the music, and I truly hated it. I do have two cats however, Kimber and Elvis.

Lucky for me I’m not one of those people who thinks that EVERY dream has to mean something. I do wish I knew why this creeped me out, though.

I love that crazy shit!

When my dreams are that nutty. I never try to decipher them either.

Like the time i dreamt i hid in my bosses closet because someone was coming to talk to me that i've been avoiding.

I go to great lenths, even in a dream!

sylow, in my dreams I've found that the dream's overall feeling...is usually a feeling I've had recently.

Grocery shopping with nothing on? That's a shame hide feeling...I could trace that to some minor feeling of shame or hiding earlier in the day.

“Cats” just let out" you say - did you let your cats out last night and then worry if they were okay?

Sometimes a dream will be a pun..I love those kinds...

A close relative I respected greatly moved away and left his elderly parents to fend for themselves after they'd helped him in every possible way his whole life...which pissed me off.

So I dream of this relative who moved --only he has no legs...he's truncated at the waist..in my dream I say: Wow, since he moved he's half the man he used to be.

I woke up creeped out until I made the connection...

I don't know WenigGluckliches, hiding in the boss's closet? I could read a lot into that. :)

Our cats stay indoors, but they definitely play a part in my dreams. We watched Poltergeist, batman Begins and Gods & Monsters over the weekend. Maybe that explains some of it.

The good news is that last night I was a secret agent. Those are my favorites. All the girls... I mean guns, all the shooting and things blowing up. Those are the best.

Sometimes my dad appears in my dreams.(he died 14 years ago too)
And even though my dad and I got along really well, his dream appearances always freak me out.

Instead of written notes, I usually see pictures/paintings. try remembering a painting in a dream...

Wow, you have the most interesting dreams there! I wonder if your grandfather was speaking to you in some sort of spirit code. Jeeze.

I had a dream that Neil Diamond was talking trash about me to Robin Williams. Boy was I pissed.

One time my dream had movie credits at the end. What does that mean? And will Burt Reynolds be in the sequel?

Only you crackhead...

Did you play yourself, or someone actually famous; I mean famous outside of Memphis?

Am I not famous enough? Just because I didn't get caught with Jesus Juice or jumping up & down on the sofa doesn't mean I'm not a celebrity. I have NEVER been refused entry into Banana Republic.

I occasionally have dreams where I'm in a big theatre watching a movie - I like those. The last one I remember was a Pacino/DeNiro movie (not heat) that was absolutely awesome. Don't remember what it was about exactly except gangsters/gun fights etc...
