Question for pet owners.

Suppose you have your choice. Your pet (and consider when they were little too) could understand perfect English from the day they were born, or they could speak perfect English but never understand a word you say. Which would you prefer?

let me get this straight...either he would understand me when I tell him to straighten up and fly right or everyday I would get to listen to him proclaim, "Damn! this ass tastes good!"

how long do I have to think about this?

I know my cat knows where my keys are.

If I asked him and he understood English, he could lead the way, but he wouldn't because he is a dick.

If he spoke English he would just do that "cold, colder, freezing..." thing while I searched for them.

Remaining his dumb ol' self is his best chance for survival.

I think that first one says "Why would my ape speak English."

The language is irrelevant. The idea is, would you rather understand your pet, or have your pet understand EVERYTHING you say.

"Damn it, I'm the ape. I must admit that my starting point was wrong. In this case I would wish that my dog understand me."
